Can you give us the two images with the same temperature scale so we can compare them?

Of course, with medical pallete in order you can see clearly the temperature steps (isotherms): in this case the healthy palm has only blue & greeen colours (around 15ºC) but the ill palm with red palm weevil has higher temperaturas (pink, red, orange & yellow colours).

Yes, it is the ill one since it has some yellow areas (the yellow colour according the colour palette in this thermogram is near 37.5 ºC = hyperthermia)

You need visual images instead of thermals? You can get all such images through google and google maps.
