Need an IR camcorder on a budget, don't know what to look for. - fantasyrook1 - 10-26-2016 04:05 PM

I am very new to the world of IR and even camcorders in general, but I would like to have a decent IR camcorder that I can just shoot video towards the sky at night, so it must have a good viewing distance, as a hobby to night watch while I hang outside, will not be used for much else so all the other fancy stuff is not needed. My preferred budget is around $400, but could possibly go up as high as $600. If anyone could please recommend some IR camcorders within my budget that meet my needs I would be very appreciative, TIA!

I would take a look at the specifications on the FLIR One if you have an iPhone. It should suit your needs, as it records video at 8.1 frames per second, and also does a nice job on stills.

The IR is 80x60
