Cost Saving by using thermography
Hi all,

At the moment, I have a problem when pitching to clients the cost effectiveness of using thermal imaging in there settings.
Its very difficult to give cost efficiencies when they wont let you in there plant.
Does anyone have some worked examples of cost saving via thermal inspection that they may allow me to use in my pitches?

Kind regards,

Chris Harvey (http://www.leakheat.com)

Chris,

Every site will be different. Savings achieved in one facility will probably not be valid in another facility. Arriving at a facility and trying to pitch to them using figures that have no relevance is unlikely to impress. I certainly have images where the savings were put in the millions, but using those figures in a factory that manufactures to stock will be just plain stupid. You are much better off talking about reducing downtime (or if talking to accountants, increasing uptime), this should be enough.

Hi Bob,

Nice to hear from you. Many thanks for your comments. Indeed, your quite right, about the relevance within the pitch.

Obviously with the oil and gas bubble having been firmly burst, the first thing that is asked, how much will it save and how much do you cost. Trying times for everyone.....

Thanks again and kind regards,

Chris.
